Men Chhos Reiki (Medicine Dharma Reiki) is a Buddhist "Hands-On" method of healing with a lineage extending back to Sakyamuni Buddha, circa 563-480 B.C.E. The method was taught by Sakyamuni Buddha to the physician Ratnagarbha who taught his son Ramamerti. |
The teaching has been handed down, traveling from India to Nepal, to Bhutan, to Tibet, to China, and then to Japan, where it was maintained at a low level of practice by a number of Japanese physicians in several Shingon Monasteries. Records, texts, and the Tantra giving the teaching were handed on from Dr. Usui to his friend and principal student Dr. Watanabe Kioshi Itami, who later placed the notes and documents in a small monastery North of Tokyo. The present-day Western teaching is developed from Dr. Usui's notes and the documents he passed on, and also the many years of research and experience of Lama Yeshe (Richard Blackwell) - the present Spiritual Director of Men Chhos Reiki International, Inc.
The original Usui's papers still being translated under authority of Men Chhos Reiki International, Inc. Read more...
