part of 1998. That system was Reiki itself. What separated Reiki and Silverwolf Reiki is what later became the foundation for everything that Tao-Te-Chi represents... SELF! Reiki by nature is a system of technique and not of growth. What this means is that everything is focused on how to do things, as compared to discovering why they are needed. Self on the other hand is devoted entirely to discovering why they are needed and any ideas of how to fix them (technique) are derived from the answers to that question. In more simple terms, Reiki uses the same techniques regardless of the individual situation.
While Silverwolf Reiki introduced self-exploration and created new ideas and techniques meant to assist people learn more about themselves while undertaking healing work. The core ideas and philosophies were essentially the same. Silverwolf Reiki just went beyond what Reiki itself was about and could do. Over time, Silverwolf Reiki actually moved away from a lot of what makes Reiki what it is. When this occurred it became less appropriate to use the name Reiki in the system. At that point the system had evolved beyond mere exploration of self, and evolved into total self understanding. This might seem like a minor change, however it is as vast as night and day.
Self discovery and exploration is simply about learning more about yourself. Self understanding is also about learning why we do those things, why we are the way we are, and works at an incredibly deep level of self. Read more...
